I sold my soul to summer school.

Now, before you pity me or laugh at my life, like the title of my blog says, I dare say that this may be a good idea for me. Yes, I know. Shocking. I have no social life, prefer to watch Top Gear than do anything that requires energy, and hate the outdoors. I mean, I appreciate nature, but when my family comes inside after being a feast for all sorts of bugs, I'm reminded why I stay on Tumblr rather than go outdoors. And I mean, I have a social life, but to quote my friend Anita, "Meredith, you live on the internet." That I do Anita. That I do. And even when my mother stole my precious lap top Audrey, I was on Netflix, watching Top Gear and netflix is technically a website... Also just a quick note before going on about summer school, I want an Oliver and I want a small Richard Hammond in my pocket. (The car is Oliver)
So summer school, the thing that will get me out and about socializing. Well, more like learning about the US history I've been listening to since I was in elementary school. It's a regular level class, so it'll be a cake walk, but it will be very boring. So, I had an idea while talking to my AP European history teacher. I'm just going to be the smart ass that relates everything to European history. And if I can't relate something, I'll just go back to the English colonists that founded the original colonies. And if we go back to the Native Americans, then I'll discuss the origins of humanity before the continents were the continents we know today, or something clever like that.
Any who, it will certainly take up the time that would otherwise be wasted on Top Gear reruns or writing things that aren't Captain Bones. That seems to be my current time spender. I should get back to that though. So, if nothing else, I may manage to seem intelligent. That'll be a new one considering the high level classes usually make me feel dim. No matter! I'll make it fun some how. At the very least, I'll probably draw a lot.
Otherwise my life, well,

That about sums it up.
-Cheers!

Crossing the Line (caution, major ranting and cursing ahead!)

Maybe I'm the only one, but I get so pissed off when people accuse me of things I had no knowledge of. Just the other day I was accused of "breaking the group apart" and "causing so much drama" when I know for a fact that I am not. Several adults have confirmed that I handled every situation beautifully and in a mature manner. Now I've got some whiny high school kids calling me "the cause of most problems" and "psychotic"?
First off, psychotic is not a word to throw around lightly. I have been lead to believe I'm psychotic for a while until a professional said "Hold up. No. You are not psychotic." Let me tell you why I have an issue with it. Psychotic is closely related to the word Psychosis. Psychosis is a medical term. "Psychosis is a symptom or feature of mental illness typically characterized by radical changes in personality, impaired functioning, and a distorted or nonexistent sense of objective reality." (some medical dictionary. Google psychosis, second non sponsored result.) I show no symptoms of psychosis. Quite frankly, if you are not a licensed medical professional that is qualified to diagnose mental disorders, you should not call someone psychotic. "Oh I'm not calling you psychotic, I'm calling your actions psychotic" same thing. Same fucking thing. Some one who is "psychotic" is diagnosed as such because of psychotic behavior or actions.
And I'm the root of all the problems? Um no. So when my nemesis (we're getting along now, so I'll call her Beth.) was brought up in conversations when I wasn't getting along, I told the person, "we aren't on speaking terms. Can we not talk about her?" All of a sudden I'm supposedly bad mouthing her.
No. I wasn't saying anything past the truth. Little miss "you're psychotic" says "But people interpret in as that she's a bad person because you think so." That's their fucking problem! I spoke nothing other than the truth and all of a sudden it's my fault they're interpreting it differently than I said it? No. That is not my fault. Oh and I'm scary? NOT MY FAULT! No lines were ever drawn. No boundaries were laid out! No one said "stop" or "that's not okay" so how the fuck was I supposed to know? Honestly, I stepped forward and the line was drawn behind me. Little miss "you're psychotic", listen dear, HOW THE FUCKING FUCK WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW IF YOU DIDN'T TELL ME?! YOU MUST BE PRETTY FUCKING MEEK IF YOU'RE FUCKING SCARED OF A 5'4" THEATER KID WITH NO UPPER BODY STRENGTH. NOT MY FAULT!
No one looks at little miss "you're psychotic" and say "well maybe we're falling apart because YOU are involving yourself in problems that ARE NOT YOURS TO DEAL WITH!!!" After talking to Beth, I put the pieces together and all of a sudden it became clear that little miss "you're psychotic" is the one who prevented it from getting fixed! What the fucking fucking hell?! (I'm pretty pissed off if you couldn't tell)
And I'm not going to even bother bringing it up again. She crossed the line and then everyone continued on as if it was nothing. I'm hurt beyond words (but I won't let it show) and I just want to rip them all apart verbally! Thank you two friends that stayed out of it. I love those two the most. The rest of the party of three that went against one, go fuck yourselves. Except Beth. She's not a terrible human being like little miss "you're psychotic". I really don't like her existence next to my existence.
Sorry for the rant. It's been two days and I'm still flaming mad and needed to get it out for a fourth time. I seriously need better friends.
Also Happy 42nd post!

-Cheers!

Life in the Friend Zone

Would you like to hear another story of my pathetic existence? Okay, here it is.
Once upon a time, there was a sweet and intelligent girl who had a lot of issues. She never let it show though. She loved shows on the BBC like Doctor Who, acting, and comic books. She knew she was a massive nerd, but she owned it. She wasn't the nerdiest, but she was certainly up there. It didn't bother her one bit because she knew what she loved and no one could change that.
She had a lot of great people surrounding her, some of which were male. The only problem was that sometimes, if they were intelligent and kind, sometimes she would develop romantic feelings for them. This certainly became an issue because many of them felt the same way for a friend of hers. So she kept it to herself as much as she could and did her best to help them. She hated helping them with another girl, but it made them happy, so she still continued to help.
It just so happened that eventually, the feelings were too strong to keep in and it spilled out to them occasionally. Every time, she was friend zoned. Only once she was given a chance. She said no because she knew he loved a friend of hers. That and he called her the sweetest girl he ever met then emotionally unstable. It kinda ruined it all.
She learned quickly that she needed to try to stop falling in love as much as she could. It only seemed to end in disaster. So she put all of her effort into preparing for her future. That didn't work entirely. So she put even more effort into everything else, but that didn't work as well. She still seemed to get crushed by her crushes. Her mind still we to them occasionally when she wasn't preoccupied. And it hurt knowing there was no hope for her.
And this continued to happen every time.
The End
What you expected a happy ending? Well, that's not how the story goes. If it had a happy ending, then it wouldn't be called Life in the Friend Zone. The blog wouldn't even be called "This is my life. Begin laughing now."
Yeah. I know I'm sad sometimes. I feel like Freddie from iCarly.
I hate that show so much.
-Cheers!

In which I have a panic attack after shipping real people

So the Skins book finally came recently and has suppressed my with drawl symptoms. It's actually pretty good. Most books off of a TV or movie usually suck, but this one isn't all that bad.
Anyway, I want to tell you more about my pathetic existence.
So there's an Irish pub a couple blocks away from my school that I love to go to. They have the best corned beef that has ever been called into existence. Anyway, the owner's name is Brian and his wife's name is Laura. I've never met either of them ever, but I always thought that Brian was this lanky ginger guy and Laura was a stout rocker looking girl. And they were adorable together. I can't even describe how great these two were together. So I'm in the pub with my mother and we actually had a nice conversation (which is rare, but no time to tell you about that now). She mentions Brian to the waiter and we just continue chatting. Then she starts describing him to me. "Yeah. He's the big burly brunette guy." And I thought, no. This can't be right. So I say, "I thought he was ginger." And she gives me this weird look. "No. That's not Brian. I don't know who you're talking about." We then start trying to figure out who I'm talking about and I'm becoming more panicked because if the ginger (whose name has been discovered to be Kyle.) isn't Brian, then the rocker looking girl and him aren't married. Head cannon ruined.
So then we start trying to figure out who Laura is. "Oh you've met her? She's a quiet little Korean lady." "No. She's the stout woman with the long black hair." "No, that's Mimi." Now I was kinda panicking. I don't know why I was so upset, but it mattered. Here I was, convinced (maybe by a subconscious stereotype) that this ginger guy owned a pub and he was married to the woman with black hair. Oh no. That's Mimi and Kyle. A day later, after some snooping, my mom discovers Kyle's name (though he will always be ginger guy to me) and that Mimi is married. And not to Kyle. It ruined my day. I think the reason I was so upset was because I believed so fully in my assumption and they were adorable next to each other. If you imagined the two in a romantic relationship, then you would have been upset too when you found out it wasn't "cannon". I mean, just the Sunday before I went to hang posters and asked Kyle (who I thought was Brian) if we could hang it and he called Mimi (who I thought was Laura) over to get it organized. He seemed like the kinda mousy husband with a wife who knew what to do. It just solidified the thought that they were Brian and Laura!
I've already spent too much time on that. Good day then...
Doodle of the Day:
I know I'm cheating and it's a photo manipulation. I'm a bit too traumatized by the lack of romantic relationship between Mimi and Kyle. That's what you get.

I am currently experiencing severe with drawl symptoms

I have to wait an entire week for my Skins book. I finished the series on Netflix and series 7 has yet to start.
I'm not doing too well. I'm not just obsessed to the point where I can accurately describe my feelings through Effy Stonem quotes, (with a few of Sid's or JJ's or Cassie's thrown in there...) but I almost had a legitimate panic attack. For those of you who don't know what Skins is, go watch it now. Don't watch the US version. The UK is better. I tried watching the US version to supplement my addiction, but with in 2 minutes of the first episode, I screamed "You're not Tony!" and almost threw my computer across the room. The UK is the best version. Now, top three from each generation:
Generation 1:
Sid
I like my guys awkward and kinda nerdy. He's kinda fantastically sweet as well.
Cassie
She's so sweet and such a space cadet. I love how dreamy she is! Though at the beginning of series 2, she turns into a slutty bitch, but by the end of the series it's fine again.
Chris
He's so amazing that he gets two gifs. (The premise of those two is the guy asked him to try to sell him that cup of tea in order to get a job. He did an awesome job as shown.) Reasons why I love Chris: back story is so depressing, but he's so happy. He's hilarious. He is portrayed by Joe Dempsie. Have you seen him topless in Game of Thrones? No? Well here you go.

Generation 2:
Naomi
Who doesn't love a kinda vulnerable, yet completely bad ass lesbian? She's absolutely fantastic, though her girlfriend is kinda less lovable and a bitch in series 4...
Effy
Another bad ass character with psychotic depression! I can relate a lot to her and even though she's kinda distant the first series, her character is well developed.
JJ
He's dorky, he's into space (there was a Star Trek reference in series 4 and I love Star Trek), and he does magic. I fucking love JJ so much!!! Honestly, if there was a nerdy guy who was so sweet at my high school (JJ) I would date him as soon as "Hey, want to see a magic trick?" I love magic and he does magic tricks really well every series. Can I please have a JJ?
Generation 3:
Alo
He's kinda like Chris, but more farm boy to him. He's funny and lovable and he and the girl he ends up with (no spoilers) are adorable together!
Grace
Again, a lot like me. She's adventurous, but knows how to act around adults. She plays both parts of the dutiful daughter and the wild girlfriend well while still being true to herself. And she loves fairy tales and Shakespeare. Me. In a nut shell, but I'm not as outwardly adventurous.
Mini
Another bad ass bitch! I hated her in the beginning, but she grows on you. Especially in series 6 and even towards the end of series 5. I think her friendship with Frankie is the cutest thing I've ever seen and how her relationship develops with her guy is different and pretty adorable in the end.

So yeah. Here's me when ________ dies in series 2.
Here's me when ___________ dies in series 4.
And here's when __________ dies in series 6.
It will break your heart, but it is one of the best series ever. Go watch. Have your heart broken.
Yes, JJ made a goldfish appear in a glass of water. He's that magical.

This is what will make me famous

Hurrah for another satire! This one is less on groups in society and more of society's values itself. It's very tongue in cheek and if you aren't insulted or riled up by the end, I've failed. Miserably. But I'm sure you'll like it. It's called The ABCs of Self Discovery. It's essentially an instruction manual on how to be accepted by today's society. It's bitter, cynical, tongue in cheek, and in my humble opinion, not half bad. According to my therapist and my mother, this is what's going to make me famous. Not my preference, but I'm cool with that.
So, opinions, welcome, critiques, welcome, personal attacks, welcome. Just remember, you have the right to your opinion on what ever, I have the right to call it rude. That and if attacked personally, I'll attack you right back, so be prepared. I've got some pretty good material up my sleeve. Would you like to see the sequence of my reactions through various gifs? Oh of course. Gifs make everything better. (or as my dad calls them, tifs)
Reaction to first insult:

Subtle, yet effective.
Reaction to second insult:
Reaction to stupid third insult:
Wait, you were serious about that?

Oh hurt your feelings?

My turn:
Decided to leave so soon? Check mate:

And this what happens when you mess with a sarcastic, cynic like me. Insults is my business. And I just needed an excuse to use my snarky gifs. I don't really get a chance to use these in the way they were intended. Also, if you don't like all the One Direction gifs. Too bad. I think most of them are hilarious.
Doodle of the Day:
This one is two years old. This was a drawing of me, Bradley James, and a Zoonicorn. I actually had a dream where this happened (he was saving me from the zombie Apocalypse) and it was the best lucid dream ever. Yes. I lucidly dreamed. And I made him rescue me and take me to Canada. Because everyone knows zombies don't live or go anywhere near Canada.
Gif of the Day:

Yes. This is One Direction. Problem? That's what I thought.

This is a test.

I just need to check if I gif I edited works. It didn't on tumblr, so now I'm worried.
Holy shit it may work!
Anyway, I've become obsessed with my new OTP. Katie McGrath and Harry Lloyd. I'm madly in love with both of them and if they ever get together, then I'll explode. No, I won't explode, but I'll make them adopt me. This is what I did today:
Even by this mediocre photo manip, it is clear that they are adorable. The height difference is way off (he's 6'0", she's 5'5") but it's still... just look at them!
I also did this for my friend Abby, since Joseph Gordon-Levitt is her favorite person ever. I'm gonna improve it a bit, but I think it turned out relatively okay for my first attempt at something like that.

So I'm off to go manipulate more photos so it looks like they're together.

This is a super old picture. Well, there you go anyway.
